Adriana Harmeyer has done it again! The reigning Jeopardy! super-champion scored her 15th straight victory on Tuesday.
Adriana, an archivist from West Lafayette, Indiana, defeated actor & podcaster Mark Gagliardi and speech-language pathologist Colleen Matthews with a score of $23,600, bringing her total winnings to a whopping $349,600.
All three competitors put up a valiant fight in Tuesday’s game, but Adriana came out on top after making a gutsy $10,000 wager in Final Jeopardy! and responding correctly to the clue about Geographic Name’s Almost the Same. Over her 15 wins, Adriana now has a commendable 13 correct Final Jeopardy! responses under her belt.
As the only super-champion so far of Season 40, Adriana has put up some impressive stats. Five of Adriana’s wins have been runaway victories, and she has 61% buzzer rating. Additionally, the 15-game super-champ has responded correctly to a total of 331 clues for a 91% percent accuracy rating.
Adriana credits her success during her run, in part, to memorizing every game in the Jeopardy! CD-ROM as a child.
Regarding her experience on Jeopardy! she also remarked, “I’ve been amazed by all my competitors, the positivity and camaraderie. We’re all happy to be part of this show that we’ve enjoyed for so long.”
Adriana will go for her 16th win on Wednesday when she faces off against graduate student Drew Basile and non-profit strategist Tekla Sauter. If successful, Adriana would be positioned for 10th place alongside Ryan Long for Consecutive Games Won on the Leaderboard of Legends.
