From Season 24

My time on the show was short but life-changing, to be sure.
1) Pretty sure I got my job from J! The manager who hired me later told me she'd seen my appearance months before. I was able to leave a trucking job and go home to my family every night (finally). I have no doubt that my new boss has confidence I could act under pressure.
2) My first win got me a little celebrity status. I got calls and emails even from total strangers. When I picked up my daughter from her dayhome, they'd all watched my episode from an earlier time zone and the kids all mobbed me at the door.
3) We alumni keep in touch with a fantastic, supportive social media community. I've found wonderful friends I'd never have met otherwise.
4) And finally, my favorite part of being a Jeopardy! champion is knowing I don't have to prove to anybody how smart I am. I don't even have to tell them I was on the show. I know.
