I am the luckiest contestant in the history of Jeopardy! for what the show ultimately did for my career. In the wake of Jeopardy!, I founded the National History Bee and National History Bowl, two history-themed quiz tournaments, which hundreds of thousands of students in the USA have taken part in. Many of our participants have gone on to compete in or even win the Teen Tournament! I've also launched the National Science Bee, US Geography Olympiad, International History Olympiad and US Academic Bee and Bowl, among other events. My Jeopardy! winnings provided the seed money and the impetus to get back involved in academic competition. I cannot thank the show enough for that, as this truly is my dream job.
