Wilbur – or Willie, as he’s affectionately called – is an Australian shepherd that Alex and Jean Trebek gifted their daughter Emily for Christmas when she was just 10 years old. When Alex picked up the puppy, his eyes filled with tears. There was just something about Willie. 

Willie has now been with the Trebek family for 16 years through thick and thin, and even overcame his own bout with cancer. Alex has joked, “A lot of the pills are the same for humans!” 

Willie is doing well, but he does have to wear a diaper in the house. (That is Willie, not Alex!)
