(January 26, 2022) – The second-longest consecutive win streak in JEOPARDY! history is over: 40-game champion Amy Schneider’s reign came to an end today when Rhone Talsma, a librarian from Chicago, finished in first place with a score of $29,600. Schneider finished second with $19,600.

CULVER CITY, CALIF. (January 24, 2022) – Amy Schneider’s JEOPARDY! reign continued today when she won her 39th game and became number two on the all-time consecutive wins list. The engineering manager from Oakland, Calif.’s winnings now total $1,319,800.

(January 7, 2022) – On today’s episode of JEOPARDY!, Amy Schneider, an engineering manager from Oakland, Calif., became the fourth person in the show’s history to earn more than $1 million in non-tournament play. Schneider’s $42,200 score in her 28th victory brought her total winnings to $1,019,001.

CULVER CITY, CALIF. (December 20, 2021) – After a two-week break for the first-ever Professors Tournament, reigning champion Amy Schneider returned to JEOPARDY! today and notched her 14th straight victory. The engineering manager from Oakland, Calif.’s winnings now total $571,200, which puts her in fourth place on the all-time highest non-tournament earnings list. Only three contestants have won more money than her: Matt Amodio ($1,518,601), James Holzhauer ($2,462,216) and Ken Jennings ($2,520,700).

CULVER CITY, CALIF. (December 17, 2021) – Sam Buttrey, an Associate Professor of Operations Research at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, Calif., became the first-ever JEOPARDY! Professors Tournament champion today, claiming the $100,000 grand prize. Ed Hashima, a Professor of History at American River College in Sacramento, Calif., placed second and earned $50,000; Alisa Hove, a Professor of Botany at Warren Wilson College in Asheville, N.C., came in third, taking home $25,000.

CULVER CITY, CALIF. (November 11, 2021) – It’s time to graduate to a new level of competition. In the first-ever JEOPARDY! Professors Tournament, instructors from 15 colleges and universities will face the ultimate test in higher education when they step away from their classrooms and onto the JEOPARDY! stage. Hosted by Mayim Bialik, the tournament begins Monday, December 6, and airs on consecutive weeknights until a champion is crowned on Friday, December 17.
